Announcing the Confrontation 2017 Poetry Prize:
$750 and publication in one of our 2017 issues for the winning poem.
Submit up to four previously unpublished poems with a $10 entry fee to Confrontation between January 15 and March 15, 2017.
Your entry fee includes a year-long subscription to the magazine, beginning with a copy of the prize issue. All entries will be considered for publication. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, as long as you let us know immediately if a poem is accepted elsewhere.
E-mail entries, dated between January 15 and March 15, 2017, as well as regular mail entries, postmarked between January 15 and March 15, 2017, will be accepted for all submissions, both U.S. and foreign. We will contact directly the winning poet, and all poets whose work has been selected for publication. The Poetry Prize winner will be announced on our website by September 2017.
Electronic entry instructions
Electronic entries will be accepted for all submissions, both U.S. and foreign. Begin here at ConfrontationMagazine.org. Once the contest is open, purchase your entry fee here; then send your submission via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, with 2017 Poetry Prize in the subject line. Attach an “anonymous” Word doc that includes only your poems and no identifying author information. Use the title of your lead poem for the name of this Word file. Include your name, e-mail, phone number, mailing address, and the title of each poem you are entering in the body of the e-mail.
Regular mail entry instructions
Regular mail entries are also being accepted for all submissions, both U.S. and foreign. Include a cover page with your name, e-mail, phone number, mailing address, and the title of each poem you are entering; you should not include your name on the poems themselves.
