New! Extended through April 30: Enter the Confrontation 2017 Poetry Prize.

Prize: $750 and prominent publication in Confrontation’s Fall 2017 issue.

Submit up to four previously unpublished poems and a $10 entry fee by April 30, 2017.

All entries will be considered for publication. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, as long as you let us know immediately if a poem is accepted elsewhere.

Your entry fee includes a year-long subscription to the magazine — a $24 value — beginning with a copy of the prize issue.

Electronic entries will be accepted through April 30, 2017.  The winning poet, and all poets whose work has been selected for publication, will be contacted directly. The Poetry Prize winner will be announced on our website by September 2017, and in our Fall 2017 issue.

How to enter

Click below to  purchase your entry fee. Next, simply e-mail your submission to, with “2017 Poetry Prize” in the subject line. Attach an “anonymous” Word doc (includes only your poems; no identifying author information). Title this Word doc with the title of your lead poem. In the body of your email, include: your name, e-mail, phone number, mailing address, and the title of each poem you are entering.
